"DASHNAKTSUTYUN" SPEAKS FOR PRESERVING STATUS-QUO, FORMED AFTER THE PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS IN 1998

PanARMENIAN.Net - 08.02.2001, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Leader of the parliamentary faction "Dashnaktsutyun" Aghvan Vardanian, commenting upon the split in the Republican party and the National-Democratic Union, noted that these processes lead to stabilization of internal political situation of Armenia.

In his words, the Republican party must unite and "turn its efforts to a positive routine". Vardanian spoke for preserving the status-quo, which was formed after the parliamentary elections in 1998, when "Unity" bloc won a convincing victory. -0--
