ICRC may take charge of drug-addicted detainees’ treatment in ArmeniaMay 13, 2011 - 20:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The head of Armenian Justice Ministry's Correctional Administration (CA) Hayk Harutyunyan met with the newly- appointed head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) delegation to Armenia, Lorenzo Caraffi and head of mission Mathias Weinreich. Mr. Harutyunyan congratulated Mr. Caraffi with his appointment, further briefing the guests on Correctional Administration's structure, main activities and current issues. The parties gave high assessment to CA-ICRC cooperation, expressing hope for its continuation. Possibilities of effective treatment of drug-addicted detainees were discussed.
