Armenian MP suggests parliamentary discussion of Eurovision selection criteria May 16, 2011 - 15:19 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A member of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) suggests a parliamentary discussion of Eurovision Armenian contestant’s selection criteria to avoid failures in future. As Gagik Melikyan told a news conference in Yerevan, the selection principles set by the Public Television of Armenia (Armenia 1TV) should be discussed at the parliament. The parliamentarian said he took Armenia’s failure at the contest close to heart. The selection of Eurovision contestants has been widely discussed in recent years, with Armenia 1TV often accused of partiality.
