Levon Julfalakyan international wrestling tournament kicks off in YerevanMay 19, 2011 - 19:22 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On May 19, Levon Julfalakyan international Greco-Roman wrestling tournament kicked off in Dinamo sports hall of Yerevan. The tournament brought together over 90 wrestlers from Armenia, Russia, Iran and Georgia. Vice President of the Armenian National Olympic Committee Razmik Stepanyan greeted wrestlers and guests at the opening ceremony. Meanwhile, Vice President of the Russian Wrestling Federation Rafael Samurgashev arrived in Armenia with respect to the tournament. Greco-Roman wrestlers in 50, 60 and 74kg weight divisions entered the competition on the first day, with Armenia’s Maxim Simonyan (50kg), Karapet Chalyan (74kg) and Georgia’s Gogito Gogiashvili winning the champion’s title.
