Arabo commander: talks mustn’t be continued unless Karabakh status is determined

Negotiations must not be continued unless the status of Nagorno Karabakh is determined, according to Arabo detachment commander.

“It’s time for Armenia to alter position in the settlement process,” Manvel Eghiazaryan told a press conference in Yerevan. “People who agitate for adoption of Madrid principles refrain from commenting on the essence of this document. We propose that Karvachar, Lachin, Shahumyan, Getashen and Martunashen together with the territory of former NKAO should be declared inviolable lands.”

For his part, Artsakh war participant, Arabo member Hakob Hakobyan said that the residents of the occupied Shahumyan region are still waiting for day when they can return to their homes.
