Armenian Sambo Federation and the Youth Sambo and Judo Olympic School hosted the 16th memorial of the first Armenian world sambo champion Garnik Hovhannisyan.

Armenian sambo wrestlers aged over 17 participated in the memorial, dedicated to 20th anniversary of CIS formation.

Gor Malyan, Kolya Karapetyan and Vachik Vardayan won gold in 57, 62 and 68 weight categories.

2010 World Youth Champion Gor Malyan (52 kg) won the first prize for the best technique.
