10 EXHIBITIONS PLANNED IN ARMENIA AND ABROAD CONNECTED WITH THE 1700TH ANNIVERSARY OF ADOPTION OF CHRISTIANITY

PanARMENIAN.Net - 05.12.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Within the framework of festivities to celebrate the 1700th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity as state religion, 10 exhibitions will be held in Armenia and abroad.

In particular, on March 2001 the "Treasures of the Ark" exhibition will be opened at the British Library, at which numerous exhibits of Christian art and culture, collected from the Holy See of Etchmiadzin, Matenadaran, the National History Museum of Armenia will be presented.

During the months of July-September 2001 and on the occasion of the 1700th Anniversary of the proclamation of Christianity as state religion in Armenia, the Dante Center of the Italian city Rovenna will contribute to the festivities by dedicating its biannual festival (named after Dante Alighieri) to this occasion. -0-
