AMENDMENTS TO MILITARY DUTY LAW OF NKR
01.12.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The plenary session of National Assembly of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic started on November 30.
As the correspondent of Mediamax reports from NKR, new laws were passed and amendments were introduced into acting ones.
The problem of returning the state credits by population caused serious discussion in the parliament.
The deputies approved the project of amendments to the Military duty law, prepared jointly by the parliament and the government. The law envisages deferment of military service until the end of the first year of studies for students of state licensed colleges, as well as for secondary school pupils until they finish the school or reach the age of 20. Within the framework of purpose programs the government keeps the right to grant deferment of real service. The lists of people, due to be deferred, must be coordinated with the National Assembly commission for defense, security and law and order issues.
Laws on correspondence of production and services with the standards, securing a united system of measurement, and standardization were passed by the parliamentarians.
At the session the project of the law "About NKR National Assembly" was considered during the second reading, the discussion of which will be continued today.
