Avigdor Eskin: Yerevan, Baku far from pacific settlement of disputes

Russia comes out with new offers to continue negotiation process on Nagorno Karabakh, to preserve status quo, that however does not approach Yerevan and Baku to peaceful settlement of the conflict, said Avigdor Eskin Russian-Israeli controversial conservative journalist and political activist.

At present, the positions of the parties to the conflict differ deeply, according to Eskin.

“Growth of military and economic might of Azerbaijan during post-war years is a serious advantage in case of military conflict. Russia, U.S. and France are fairly concerned about the whole region to face aftermath of the conflict settlement through war and undertake pacifying measures. New meetings and discussions will not offer anything new,” said the political activist adding that their efforts are directed at refraining Azerbaijan, but not real peaceful process, Vesti.az reports.
