Armenia, Ukraine and China challengers for gold medal at World Team Chess Championship

The Armenia-Azerbaijan (2:2) drawn match in the 8th round of the World Team Chess Championship did not impede Armenian chess players to fight for gold medals. The three challengers for the gold are Armenia with 20,5 points in the first place, Ukraine with 17,5 points and China with 20 points.

The Ukraine defeated U.S. in the 8th round with a score 2,5:1,5, China beat India with a score 3:1, Hungary proved stronger than Egypt with the same results, Russia beat Israel with a score 4:0.

In the last round, Armenia will face the Ukraine.
