Narek Khachatryan wins the second gold at Junior World Greco-Roman Championships

PanARMENIAN.Net - The second day of Armenian wrestlers at Junior World Championships which is in progress in Bucharest was as successful as the first day of the tournament.

Narek Khachatryan (55kg) had no match and won gold medal. In 1/8 final he proved to be stronger than Ramunas Dagis, then he defeated Japan’s Tomoaki Nakano and Uzbek Elmurat Tasmuradov. In final Khachatryan rivaled Iran’s Saman Abdouli, whom the Armenian wrestler beat scoring to 5:0.

Hayk Arshakyan (66kg), Gevorg Manukyan (84kg) and Vachik Yeghiazaryan (120kg) also competed that day but failed to win medals.

The day before, Rafik Manukyan (74kg) won gold and Rudik Mkrtchyan (50kg) bronze.

The Armenian Greco-Roman wrestling team ranked the 5th in the team event with 33 points.
