Defence Ministry: Khachaturov’s statement on liberated territories’ return is misinformationAugust 8, 2011 - 19:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Defence Minister’s spokesman David Karapetyan commented on recent media reports, suggesting Colonel General Yuri Khachaturov, the head of the General Staff of Armenian armed forces made a statement on return of liberated territories. “Media reports are mere misinformation. Karabakh settlement talks are within political, rather than military jurisdiction. The powers of the head of the General Staff of Armenian armed forces are specified in article 14 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on Defence,” Karapetyan said.
