The issue on Armenia's full right membership to the Council of Europe is included into the agenda of November 7 session of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, Hovaness Hovanessian, the chairman of Armenian parliamentary commission for foreign relations stated in his interview to Mediamax.
Mr. Hovanessian said that in case CE is satisfied with the results of parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan, scheduled for November 5, the issue on Azerbaijan's membership to this organization will also be touched upon.
According to the deputy, on November 7 the decision will be made through consensus and in case if any problem appears regarding Azerbaijan's membership the discussion will be delayed for November 9, when the decision must be made by 2/3 of votes.
"The Council of Europe has exhausted its resources for dragging out Armenia's membership to this organization and there will not be any grounded reasons for delaying the accession of Armenia to the Council of Europe, Hovanessian underlined. -0--
