Ameriabank increased number of payment cards by 58,6%

PanARMENIAN.Net - Ameriabank CJSC increased the number of payment cards served by 58,6%, as compared to the beginning of the year, totaling 22,6 thousand, according to the bank’s press service.

Ameriabank launched activity on development of the bank’s payment cards and improvement of deals carried out with them.

The press release notes that the bank makes investments into expansion of ATM system, and presently there are 59 ATMs in Yerevan, 15 in Armenian provinces and 2 in NAgorno Karabakh Republic (NKR) serving ArCa, VISA, VISA Electron and MasterCard payment cards.

It is also said in the press release that as of July 31, 2011, total amount of cash deals with Ameriabank’s payment cards rose by 59,9%, as against similar period of the last year, whereas the number of deals doubled (92,5%).

As of July 31, the volume of deals with payment cards amounted to over AMD26 billion, as compared to the beginning of the year, 25,4% of which are non-cash deals.

Besides, the bank installed POS terminals in trade sports, and their number equaled 474 as of July 31, which is 146% higher as against the beginning of the year.

Ameriabank takes care for providing more comfortable and preferential service to its clients, and thanks to the bank’s cards the number of trade spots rendering discounts touched 200, with discounts amounting to 40%.
