Armenian grandmaster Elina Danielyan tied the 8th round game against India’s Humpy Koneru at FIDE Grand Prix series in Rostov, Russia.

Despite the draw, Danielyan did not improve her position in the standings, remaining last but one with 2.5 points.

Hou Yifan of China keeps the lead with 7 points, followed by Tatiana Kosintseva of Russia (5 points) and Anna Muzychuk of Slovenia (4.5 points).

In round 9, the Armenian GM will face Russia’s Alisa Gallyamova, who is currently 8th.
