TERRORISM AND VIOLENCE MAY NOT BE JUSTIFIED, ARMENIAN PRESIDENT SAYS
25.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. "Terrorism may not have ideological or religious grounds. Anti-humanity and violence may not be justified," the statement by the Armenian President Robert Kocharian addressed to the participants of the international forum "Journalism against terrorism and violence" which is held in Yerevan these days reads.
According to Kocharian terrorism is one of the most actual problems some states and the international community face.
"Innocent persons becomes the victims of this evil - children, journalists, well-known persons, politicians. Armenia has experienced the devastating power and hard aftermath of violence. It is the duty of each state member of the world community as well as every person is to condemn terrorism and violence," Robert Kocharian stressed.
The international forum "Journalism against terrorism and violence" is timed to the act of terrorism perpetrated in the Armenian parliament October 27, 1999. --0--
