TURKISH AUTHORITIES CREATES ARMENIAN RESEARCH INSTITUTE IN ANKARA
25.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The Turkish authorities decided to create "Armenian Research Institute" in Ankara.
According to Cumhuriyet "the Armenian Research Institute will investigate Armenian culture and history in detail in order to respond to allegations by scientific researches". The Institute will open the Ottoman archives to the public via the Internet. The Institute will initially consist of 10 expert academicians and retired diplomats and will be head by retired Ambassador Omer Engin Lutem.--0--
