60% of people take their tablets on vacation - studyAugust 24, 2011 - 15:25 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - According to a study by Staples Advantage, Staples’ business-to-business unit, 35 percent of people bring their tablets to the toilet, Geek.com reports. The study polled 200 tablet owners from various companies across a number of industries. One of the main reasons why tablets, like the iPad, have become so popular is that they’re so portable. Also 30 percent of the subjects admitted to taking them to restaurants. That means there are least a few of those toilet tablets sitting on dinner tables. In other non-surprising news, 60 percent admitted to taking the tablet on vacation and 78 percent said they use them in bed. The study also found that 80 percent of respondents have a better work/life balance as a result of using a tablet. Sixty percent said they get more work done using the tablet, and 40 percent said that staying in contact with colleagues and clients was the main reason they bought the tablet.
