23.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. 1717.4 thousand U.S. dollars are returned to the state budget of Armenia, 550.5 thousand of which is a part of the credit, allotted to modernize the 5th block of Hrazdan Power Station, says the report of the work group of the Armenian government, published today at the special session of the cabinet of ministers. The report was made after examining the report of the interim parliamentary commission, which studied facts of abuse in the energy system of Armenia for the period of 1992-1999.
As was reported to Mediamax in the press service of the government of Armenia, the report notes that investigation is in process in corresponding departments and in the government of Armenia by the facts, specified in the report of the interim commission. Actions are against 25 officials for large-scale misappropriation, expenditure and property theft through abusing their positions.
Deputy minister of energy of Armenia Robert Nazarian will present the total text of the report of the work group of the government of Armenia today in the National Assembly. -0-
