Foursquare reaches 1 billion check-ins

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Official Foursquare Blog announced that the geolocation based network passed 1 billion check-ins last week being launched 2 years ago.

The Blog also announced new updates to its mobile app. Now users can use Lists while they are out. Users should download the update and they will see that the ‘To-Do List’ tab has been renamed ‘Lists.

While exploring, users can tap into the 10,000,000-strong foursquare community (and thousands of brands) for ideas. There’s even a new map view so user can see them all in the world around.

And if users see places they want to try, they can add them to a list on the go. They can tap the ‘+ SAVE’ button and can add a place to any existing list or create a new one.

The new update is available for the iPhone and will work for Android later this week, and other platforms soon after.
