Tokyo marks 20th anniversary of Republic of Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Tokyo, Japan hosted a reception to mark the 20th anniversary of the Republic of Armenia.

Japan's Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Kazuyuki Hamada, MPs, high-ranking politicians and representatives of diplomatic missions attended the event, with Armenian Embassy councillor Hrant Poghosyan welcoming the guests.

At the celebratory event, Mr. Hamada specifically thanked Armenia for its assistance to Japan after the devastating tsunami in March 2011.

Works of Armenian composers, as well as a photo exhibit were featured at the event, Armenian Foreign Ministry press service reported.
