VLADIMIR PUTIN: "PEOPLES OF ARMENIA AND RUSSIA WANT TO BE SURE OF STABLE AND FIRM RELATIONS BETWEEN THEIR COUNTRIES"
26.09.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The declaration "About strategic interaction in the 21st century" was signed today between Presidents of Russia and Armenia. It outlines not only the present level of Armenian-Russian political relations, but also the desire of the leaders and the people of the two countries to live in accordance with the rules, formed during the century-long history of mutual relations of Armenian and Russian nations.
As the special correspondent of MEDIAMAX reports from Moscow, Russian president Vladimir Putin declared this today, commenting upon the results of the Armenian-Russian negotiations at the request of MEDIAMAX.
In his turn the President of Armenia Robert Kocharian said that he is satisfied by the results of all his meetings in the Russian capital. He said that the Declaration which was signed today is another step on the path of consolidating the strategic relations between Armenia and Russia.
Today Robert Kocharian will also meet with the Chairman of RF Federation Council Yegor Stroyev and the speaker of Russian State Duma, Gennady Seleznyov.-0-
