BILL CLINTON ASKS SENATE TO APPROVE BILATERAL INVESTMENT TREATY WITH AZERBAIJAN
13.09.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The US president recommended that the Senate considered the Treaty between the governments of the US and Azerbaijan Concerning the Encouragement and Reciprocal Protection of Investment "as soon as possible", reads the official note of the US State Department.
Clinton noted that the Bilateral Investment Treaty will be the fourth such treaty signed between the United States and a Transcaucasian or Central Asian country. The Treaty will protect U.S. investment and assist Azerbaijan in its efforts to create conditions more favorable for U.S. private investment. -0-
