Heritage –ANC union possible - Heritage member

PanARMENIAN.Net - Heritage opposition party member Armen Martirosyan does not rule out a possibility of a union between Heritage and Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc.

“Despite differences on Karabakh settlement and Armenia-Turkey rapprochement, Heritage and ANC share similar views on establishment of democracy in Armenia,” the politician told a news conference in Yerevan.

Martirosyan went on to comment on Heritage leader Raffi Hovannisian’s visit to Liberty Square and his conversation with ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrossian. “Though unaware of conversation specifics, I’m confidence it was a visit of support,” the politician said.

At Sept 30 rally, Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc leader Levon Ter-Petrossian announced 7-day-long round-the-clock protest actions, with supporters putting up tents at Liberty Square. “Whether to continue actions will be decided in a week,” ANC leader noted.
