Aronian beats Anand at Chess Masters Final 9th round

On October 10, grandmaster Levon Aronian won the 9th round game vs. India’ Viswanathan Anand at Bilbao Chess Masters Final.

Further, Norway’s Magnus Carlsen beat Vasili Ivanchuk of Ukraine; Spain’s Francisco Vallejo scored a win vs. Hikaru Nakamura of U.S.

Thus, Aronian is 4th with 11 points, Nakamura is 3rd with equal number of points scored; Ivanchuk stays in the lead with 14 points, followed by Karsen with 14 points.

In the 10th round, Aronian, Anand and Nakamura will face off against Ivanchuk, Vallejo and Karsen resp.
