PRESIDENT KOCHARIAN LEAVES FOR NEW YORK ON SEPTEMBER 4
01.09.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Armenian President Robert Kocharian will leave for New York on September 4 to take part in the UN "Millennium Summit", reported the press office of the president to MEDIAMAX. Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian will accompany the president during the visit.
On September 6-7 Armenian president will take part in a number of events held within the framework of the summit: in particular, Robert Kocharian will be present at the reception of UN Secretary-General and co-chairmen of the "Summit of the Millennium", as well as at the round table of the summit. On September 7 President Kocharian will speak at the "Summit of the Millenium".
In New York the regular meeting of Robert Kocharian with Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev will take place.
From New York Armenian president will leave for Geneva where he will have a meeting with business circles representatives of the Armenian Diaspora. Kocharian will present to them Armenia's economic situation, the ideology of present reforms, main steps taken in the direction of development of economic status of the country, as well as possibilities to draw more Diaspora capital into Armenia. -0-
