Dmitry Medvedev becomes parliamentary hopeful

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russia’s Central Election Commission registered the United Russia party’s candidate list on Tuesday, Oct 18 headed by President Dmitry Medvedev for the December 4 Duma elections.

The party began the confirmation process for its 599 candidates in October.

United Russia is fielding 183 non-party candidates and 416 party members.

The party held its pre-election congress on September 23-24 in which the list of candidates for the Duma election was confirmed, RIA Novosti reported.
