31.07.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. On the basis of the decision of the constitutional instance of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh, which declared invalid the results of the elections in the 4th and 7th electoral districts of Stepanakert, repeated elections took place in these districts on July 30.
As was reported to MEDIAMAX in the CEC of RNK, according to the preliminary information, Roles Aghajanian (nominated by "Democratic Artsakh" Union) has won the election, and the former winner, Seyran Hayrapetian (proposed by civil initiative) was deprived of his deputy mandate.
In the 7th district Maxim Mirzoyan (the representative of "Dashnaktsutyun" faction) upheld his deputy mandate. Mirzoyan, one of the candidates to the post of the speaker of the parliament of RNK, had declared before that he was deprived of his deputy mandate by "political persecutions of the authorities". -0-
