Armenia will face off against Azerbaijan in the 2nd round of Porto Carras-hosted European Team Chess Championships.

The board pairings were announced as follows: Levon Aronian – Teimour Radjabov, Sergei Movsesian- Vugar Gashimov, Vladimir Akopian – Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Gabriel Sargissian- Gadir Guseinov.

After crushing Austria 3,5:05 in the 1st round, Armenian men’s team is placed 5th; Azerbaijan scored a 2,5:1,5 victory over Italy to rank 4th.
