THE BILL OF THE PRIVATIZATION OF THE DISTRIBUTIVE POWER NETWORKS OF ARMENIA WILL BE CONSIDERED TODAY AT THE PALRIAMENTARY COMMITTEE SESSION
21.07.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The bill of privatization of the four distributive power networks of Armenia will be considered today at the session of the committee on finance-credit, budget and economic questions of the National Assembly of Armenia.
The bill is worked out by the government of Armenia. The World Bank connects the allotment of regular credits to Armenia with this very privatization of the power networks. The special session of the parliament, at which this bill will be considered, is expected to take place on July 24. The faction of Armenian communists has already declared that they will vote against this bill.
Today the following companies have a claim on the purchase of the distributive networks - the American "AES Silk Road"; the Swiss "ABB"; the French "Electricite de France" and the Spanish "Union Fenosa" .
