Armenian men’s team climbs to second place at European Chess Championship

PanARMENIAN.Net - Defeating France 2.5:1.5, Armenian men’s team climbed to the 2nd place at the European Team Chess Championship.

Sergei Movsesian won his game; Levon Aronian, Vladimir Akopian and Gabriel Sargissian played in a draw to be 0.5 points behind the leaders - Azerbaijan.

Women’s team lost 1.5:2.5 to Russia to drop to the 10th place with 14.5 points.

In the next round, Armenian men’s and women’s teams will face the Netherlands and Serbia respectively.
