German travelers talk about Ani with heavy heart

German travelers talk about the ancient capital of Armenia, Ani, with a heavy heart, an acknowledged Armenologist said.

As Armenian Studies Department Director at Salzburg University, Dr. Jasmine Dum-Tragut told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, Germans, Austrians have dedicated many works to Armenia, despite the fact that only 5-6 written memoirs have been preserved to date.

Jasmine Dum-Tragut, a participant of international conference “Ani as the political and civilization center of medieval Armenia” noted that military officials, physicists, architects, and people of other professions have written about the medieval capital.

The Armenologist has conducted his research for over a year and is likely to continue it.
