Japanese technology introduced to Lori diamond-cutting plant in ArmeniaNovember 16, 2011 - 13:48 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Triple excellent Japanese technology for diamond processing was introduced to Armenian Lori diamond-cutting plant, the plant’s deputy director said. According to Grigor Shahnazaryan, diamond cutting with this technology 90% meets the requirements set whereas in other countries only 50% of diamond processing quality is secured. The plant currently operates by 30-40%. The past ten months saw 57,7% decline in production which was utterly exported. According to Mr. Shahnazaryan, the company uses raw materials supplied by Russian company Alrosa and Belgian partners.
