Director of Arevakn diamond producing plant, Vardan Anderasyan told journalists that Alrosa has increased cost of rough diamond against decline in world prices, causing 20% loss. Fort the past months increase in Arevakn LLC production totaled 142,7% against the same period of 2010. Deputy director of Lori diamond-cutting plant Grigor Shahnazaryan, who shares Anderasyan‘s opinion, added that the price upsurge urged them to decrease purchase volume from the Russian company.
