Akhtamar’s Holy Cross Church slightly damaged from the quake

PanARMENIAN.Net - Holy Cross Church in Akhtamar near the province of Van was slightly damaged as a result of several earthquakes that struck Turkey, Turkish Haberler reports.

According to engineer-constructor Adnan-Vural, quakes have caused several cracks in the dome.

The November 9 earthquake in southeast Turkey killed 40 people, bringing the death toll in two tremors over the last three weeks to 644.

On Oct. 23, a 7.2-magnitude quake hit the province of Van, killing 605 people and injuring 4152. 188 people were pulled out alive from the rubble.
