According to Ecolur, some of these projects are being in the stage of documentation approval, the other are already being implemented. One of the hydropower plants is planed to be constructed on the tributary to the River Geghi that supplies 50% of drinking water to Kapan town, the project not being feasible due to negative environmental impact assessment. Most Ecolur-reviewed hydropower plant projects do not provide environmental impact assessment. Data on rivers is not true to fact.
