ARMENIA MOURNS 88-TH ANNIVERSARY OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE IN OTTOMAN TURKEY TODAY
Today Armenia mourns the 88-th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Turkey. An endless human flow moves to the Eternal Fire in Tsitsernakabert memorial complex as usual to revere the memory of the 1.5 million victims of the monstrous crime perpetrated by the Young Turks early last century. Armenian president Robert Kocharian, parliament speaker Armen Khachatrian, prime minister Andranik Margarian, parliament deputies and members of the Armenian government laid flowers by the Eternal Fire. A liturgy to commemorate the Genocide victims was offered at the Cathedral of Holy Echmiadzin today.
