Website monitoring election pledges to be launched in Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - On November 18-20, 60 participants of Social Innovation Camp (Mardamej) worked out and presented 6 projects, one of them titled Monitoring platform for election pledges. The team of 10 members created ukrupnenie.com website aimed at monitoring politicians’ election promises.

The website comprises following sections: orientation, promises, ranking and mardamej.

The first section provides politicians’ answers to certain questions, helping citizens to make the right choice in presidential elections.

The second section enables users to post promises by various politicians and further see whether they are kept or not.

The ranking section comprises politicians’ biographies. This section like the previous ones enables users to leave comments.

Mardamej section is devoted to the analysis of those politicians’ activities that fail to keep their promises.

In a conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, project coordinator Aram Tovmasyan noted the project as a feasible one.

Mardamej SICamp is financed by United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with contribution by Internews Armenia and SICamp founders.
