Spending vacation in Georgia 1,5 times cheaper than in Armenia

Though new to tourism business, Noyan Tour company noted a significant tourist inflow in Armenia over the 2 years of its engagement in the market.

“Even those who’ve already been to Armenia, come back to continue acquaintance with the country’s rich cultural heritage. Also, Artsakh is attracting more attention, which is a welcome fact,” the company’s deputy director, Sofia Sargsyan told journalists.

She listed Russia and France among counties providing the highest tourist inflow. “A 7-day tourist package to Armenia for 2 totals USD 1000 (AMD 383 420), while spending vacation in Georgia is 1,5 times cheaper and would amount to AMD 203 504,” she noted as a negative factor.

In this connection, Ms. Sargsyan urged to review hotel prices in ski season, as Russian visitors might prefer Turkey over Armenia in view of high accommodation cost.
