Kazakh capital Almaty was automatically selected as 2017 World Student Games (2017 Winter Universiade) host, after the other claimant, the Italian Trento, had lifted its candidacy in view of economic crisis.

On Tuesday, Nov 29, Almaty delegation will hold a presentation of their city in Brussels.

The next World Student Games are due 2013 in the Russian city of Kazan.
