OFFICIAL BAKU READY TO PROVIDE SECURITY OF ARMENIAN SOLDIERS DURING COMING NATO EXERCISE IN AZERBAIJAN
Official Baku undertook the commitment to provide the security of the Armenian soldiers in the course of the coming NATO maneuvers in Azerbaijan, Azeri defense ministry's press office member Ilgar Verdiyev told Echo Baku newspaper. To note, the Armenian side expressed readiness to participate in NATO Cooperative Best Effort-2004 military exercise, which will de conducted September 2004 at Azerbaijani territory. In Verdiyev's words, "Armenian soldiers earlier took part in the NATO measures in Azerbaijan and no one attempted their lives". Meanwhile, chairman of the Organization for Karabakh Liberation Akif Nagi stated that the organization headed by him will not tolerate the presence of Armenian soldiers in Azerbaijan. "Armenians will regret if a single soldier sets foot upon our land. We are not afraid either of criminal persecution or arrests", - he said.
