Armenian PM hopes for start of free trade agreement talks with EU in 2012

As part of his visit to Brussels, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with European Commissioner for Trade Karel De Gucht.

The two men focused on Armenia-EU economic ties, specifically the oncoming talks on deep and comprehensive free trade agreement.

In this context, the Prime Minister briefed the Commissioner on reforms implemented in Armenia, expressing hope for the start of talks in 2012.

Also, a meeting with the Director General of Europe Aid Development and Cooperation Directorate-General, Fokion Fotiadis was on Sargsyan’s agenda, with macrofinancing assistance discussed, governmental press service reported.
