ARMENIAN PRESIDENT POSTPONED DEPUTIES' VACATION

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Robert Kocharian signed today the decree on calling a special session of the National Assembly December 12. The session will be held on the initiative of the Armenian government, which considers that a number of laws and amendments to them being rather important for the country still remain not adopted. According to the report by the RA President's press office, the agenda of the special session includes the bill on alternative military service, the adoption of which is one of the engagements to the CE, Armenia is to fulfill before the end of the current year. Besides, the parliament has not adopted the state budget for fiscal year 2004 yet. Among the bills submitted to adoption there is a number of economic laws as well as the law on mass media. Armenian parliamentarians are also to ratify the memorandum on the basis of which the Armenian military contingent forming a part of the Greek peacemaking battalion will go to Kosovo.
