Armenia has received NATO official invitation to participate in "Cooperative Best Effort-2004" maneuvers to be held in Azerbaijan next September within the framework of "Partnership for Peace" program. Yesterday defense minister of Armenia Serge Sargsian was handed the invitation when visiting the NATO Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers in Mons, Belgium. "We intend to participate in the maneuvers," S. Sargsian told "Mediamax" agency. It should be noted that Azerbaijan refused to participate in "Cooperative Best Effort-2003" maneuvers held in Armenia in the summer.
