Syrian developments part of Arab World destabilization program - official

Syrian authorities implement series of reforms in the country, ready to establish a dialogue with protesters, according to Syrian Chargé d'Affaires to Armenia.

“At the beginning of the uprising, some TV channels featured actual small-scaled protest actions as a civil war, accompanied by President Bashar al-Assad’s policy to sack several officials in charge of suppression of protests by force ”Mamoun Hariri said, adding that Syria is currently facing a well-prepared information war.

Hariri explained protesters’ non-constructive approach by two blasts in Damascus at the beginning of the week.

“The program is aimed at boosting Israel’s role in the region,” the diplomat said, adding that the developments in Syria comprise a part of the Arab World destabilization program.

In conclusion, Hariri dwelled on Armenian-Syrian ties, expressing gratitude to Armenian people and authorities for the assistance extended.
