Google updates Google Docs app for Android

Google updated its Google Docs app for Android to allow users to access their files even when there’s no Internet connection around, Intomobile reports.

Then, once the user downloads some of the files and change them while offline, he/she can simply tap Update to see the difference. Moreover, the application will automatically update the offline files when the user is on Wi-Fi.

The second big important change is improved support for Android tablets, with Google Docs finally offering a decent (high-resolution) reading experience. The user can swipe left and right to flip between pages, or use the slider at the bottom to page ahead quickly.

Unfortunately, the report says, native document editing (not HTML) is still missing and without it, well, Google Docs is still pretty useless for most of the users.
