Armenia speaks in favor of creating a free trade zone within the CIS, as Armenian president Robert Kocharian stated during his meeting with Ukrainian leader Leonid Kuchma in Yalta. In the course of the conversation the parties announced about the intention to activate bilateral economic cooperation. It has been noted that the commodity circulation between the two countries during the first half-year of 2003 increased 60% as compared to the corresponding period of last year.
