BILL CONDEMNING ARMENIAN GENOCIDE SUBMITTED TO US CONGRESS
Members of the House of Representatives of US Congress from California George Radanovich and Adam Schiff have introduced a bill before Congress that considers necessary to condemn the Holocaust, genocide in Cambodia and Rwanda, as well as the Armenian Genocide. As written by "Zaman" Turkish newspaper, "Arminfo" agency reports, the bill submitted on the occasion of an anniversary of the US signing of the Treaty on preventing and condemning genocide, is not directly accusing Turkey, as the document does not mention genocide committing party. However, in the newspaper opinion, if the phrase "Armenian Genocide" is not withdrawn from the document, the ideas of "the Armenian issue" will officially be accepted in the US congressional protocols. Thereupon the Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkey have addressed US Congress a letter, "naming the genocide ideas erroneous" and calling under the conditions of such exacerbation of the situation in Iraq not to second the bill, which "can threaten the future of the Turkish-American relations."
