Armenia’s economic activity index makes 4.4% in January 2012

PanARMENIAN.Net - A 4.4% growth in economic activity index in Armenia in January 2012 was reported as compared to the same period in 2011.

According to the National Statistical Service, the economic activity dropped by 53.7 % in January 2012 compared to December 2011. Inflation in January 2012 comprised 4.8% against the same period in 2011. Consumer prices grew by 3.6 % in January 2012 against December 2011.

The national budget envisages 4.2% economic growth and 4% (±1.5%) inflation for 2012.
