ARMENIA OFFICIALLY STATED JOINING GROUP OF COUNTRIES FOR STRUGGLE AGAINST CORRUPTION
The other day Armenian foreign minister Vardan Oskanian signed a letter addressed to Council of Europe Secretary General Walter Schwimmer referring to Armenia's joining the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO). Yerevan expects the issue to be decided as soon as the letter is officially handed to the addressee. As noted by the press service of the Armenian foreign ministry, 34 countries, including the US, make part of the Group formed in 1999. The organization promotes holding legal and institutional reforms necessary to prevent corruption.
